Twenty-one Days. Five Countries.
In no particular order: Germany (Bavaria), Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, and Italy. We also had brief layovers in Denmark & Canada.
The very last snapshot is of bread baked by hand from the original recipe in a mill and bakery built in 1210 in Salzburg. It's very heavy, but made for fine toast back in San Diego!
Bavarian Family Ties
Of course the main reason we went to Europe was to be with our dear family. Auburn turned two the day we arrived. We are very proud of her, her parents, and of course, Conley!
Before and After
Upon the advice of our pension owner in Bad Hofgastein, Austria, we did something completely out of character for us. We spent an afternoon at a world-famous health spa, which involved a train ride through kilometers of caves until we reached an area where we were exposed to natural radon gas. We were treated like dignitaries, and I think you'll be impresseed with the results!
