Old Friends - BYU Days

Paul and I were roommates for three of our four years in college. He is now a bishop in Midland, Texas. He's arranged a family reunion for his posterity, here at Sunset Cliffs.

Pine Valley Days Parade

I only hit about a third of the notes. The other seven trombones carried the day!

The first three musicians from the left are sons of the bearded man, who is a pastor in Victorville. He is brother-in-law of the leader of our group.

Since many of you readers are either Mount Miguel alums, or related to one, feel free to participate in any of the three annual events we have: this one, Home Coming, and the Spring Concert. There is also the Mother Goose Parade, but it's always on Sunday. So, if you're ever in town when something's going on, climb aboard!

A little bit (bite) of the Big Apple

We sat in Row "Z" (the Heights).

¡Feliz 28 de julio!

Here you have the Himno Nacional in Quechua...two versions. I like the longer version. Wait twenty seconds for it to load. Lupe likes the version with contemporary instrumentation (Excluding the reference to Pisco!). I've also included a version in Spanish. I've omitted the version by Guns 'n Roses, but you can look for it on YouTube.

Lupe and I celebrated the day with dinner and a Broadway show. More on that later!

Matthew & Jennifer Marry!

Here are some shots from the reception, with cousins handling clean up afterward.

In the bull-pen, Daniel & Chelsea!

"Three Little Piggies"

Kathleen makes frequent trips to San Diego to help Mom, but only rarely does she have time to kick up her heels while in town. Here we are at the ferry landing in Coronado last Thursday. Notice, it's "Bar - B - Q". Notice also that we're taking out doggie bags.

By the dawn's early light...
