July 18, 2007: Dad's Funeral


Dad passed peacefully into the Spirit World at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, the 13th of July, 2007, with Mom at his bedside. Shown here are photos from the funeral, held at Blossom Lane Stake Center on Wednesday, the 18th. Dad is buried at Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego, Lot 71, Plot 1.

Long may our land be bright, with freedom's holy light...





Independence Week 2007 featured a trip to Utah with Silvia. We stopped for a group photo at the St. George Temple. In Draper, Grandpa played "Clue" with Samuel & Brandon while the women shopped. The evening of the 3rd, we all had a picnic dinner in American Fork Canyon, and as the evening cooled, we watched the Johnson men reel 'em in at Tibble Fork. On the 4th, we arose early and we went to the balloon rendezvouz and Independence Day Parade in Provo. Life should always be so good!

I am such a woos!

This is me two days after stage one of a tooth implant. My lower face feels like one big chapped lip. Not excruciatingly painful...just annoying enough for me to feel sorry for myself. Lupe is pampering me. I'm so blessed to have her!

In three months or so I'll do stage two.
